#WhatIWishIKnew #TTTSAwareness "I wish I knew that a successful surgery didn't mean all babies lived. I was pregnant with triplets, and we lost one of our identical boys after a "successful surgery". It was so difficult to hear the word "successful" knowing that our son had died.. which didn't seem very successful to me.." When it is time for treatment for TTTS, you have the right to ask the recommended or referred surgeon's office their treatment statistics regarding how many surgeries they have done, what their success rate is and a how they measure that. This information may or may not change any decision you make but you have the right to know.
